- Operated Burkhardt Brewery at Roxbury Station, Boston,Ma.--Established about
1860, considered one of the largest mid-size brewery in Boston. During
prohibition (1930) switched to Near-beer.--Went out of business in the early
30's. Employed Matthias Schuler and probably Charles Albert Schell.
