Federal Census: 1870 - Thomas Baber age 37 yrs old working in the cotton mills was living in Smithfield, Rhode Island with his wife Mary Ann age 37 and their son Joesph age 13 yrs old working in the cotton mills
Federal Census: 1880 - Thomas Barber age 46 yrs old working in cotton mills was living in Providence, RI with his wife Mary Ann age 47 , their son Joseph age 23 yrs old working in the cotton mills and Thomas' father, Joseph Sr. age 77 yrs old , not working.
Federal Census: 1900 - Joseph age 43 yrs old a machinist (probably in the cotton mills) lived 83 Beach Street, Pawtucket City, RI with his wife Elizabeth age 44 yrs old a weaver of cotton and his father Thomas age 66 yrs old a weaver of cotton, and his mother Mary Ann age 67 yrs. old. Thomas and Elizabeth were married 43 yrs. had three children. Only Joseph is living. They immigrated from England with their son Joseph to US in 1859, 41 yrs ago. Elizabeth immigrated from England in 1858, has been married 7 years with no children.
