Ellen Jones age 74, of Jordanville, NY passed away in the comfort of her own home with the love and support of her family, friends and loved ones by her side. She was born on September 15th in Springfield, NY (Tin Ellen VanBrink-Jones -Top) to Harry VanBrink and Mable Mallette-VanBrink.
Ellen worked most of her life in the Life Savers/Beech-Nut Gum and Candy factory. She had a passion for the great outdoors and it’s many activities and adventures including; cutting and splitting wood for the winter, gardening acres of fruit and vegetable gardens and simply enjoying her upstate NY property. She lived life to the fullest and never missed a beat; those that knew Ellen knew her as one of the strongest, hardest working women out there and will miss her deeply.
Ellen is survived by her two children; son, Terry Rocklin of Jordanville, and daughter, Tammy L. Bresee of Cherry Valley. Five loving grandchildren that will deeply miss their grandmother; Savannah Bresee, Alicia Bresee, Terry Rocklin, Jr., Timothy Rocklin and Thomas Rocklin. Four great grandchildren that adored her; Arianna, DeShawn, Hunter, Declan and Cory. Ellen is also survived by her three sisters; Fay Rouge of Poughkeepsie, NY, Joyce Goodrich of Daytona Beach, FL, Shirley Muskus-VanBrink of Columbia, South America and a brother, Sonny VanBrink, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Ellen was only preceded in death by her brother, Henry VanBrink.
There will also be a gathering at her grave site in Fort Plain, NY at a later decided date and time. [1] |
