Exilda M. (Carey) Bertoni, of Townsend, formerly of Quincy, passed away April 8, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Leroy Roy Bertoni. Loving mother of Diane Gotlieb and her husband Alan of VT, Francis Frank Bertoni, Q.P.D., Ret., and his wife Barbara of Quincy, Joseph Bertoni and his wife Beverly of Abington, Cheryl Harrington and her husband Edmund of Weymouth, Joyce Vazzano and her husband Anthony of MD, and Gayle Marden and her husband Edward of Townsend. Sister of Marion Gibson of NY and the late Francis, William Jr., John and Charles Carey. Also survived by 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bertonis life revolved around her loving family. She was a homemaker, who not only cared for her own children, but also cared for many foster babies through the years for Catholic Charities. She will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday 5-8 p.m. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Thursday prior to the funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Quincy at 10 a.m. Burial in St. Marys Cemetery, Quincy.
